Powerful AMD R-Series NAS
The TS-x73 series is powered by a high-performance and energy-efficient AMD R-Series CPU and provides two PCIe slots for greater functionality. You can install a QNAP QM2 expansion card to add M.2 SSD caching/10GbE connectivity; a compatible wireless card to use the TS-x73 series as a wireless access point; and an entry-level graphics card to boost system performance for 4K video. The TS-x73 series allows you to flexibly deploy a wide range of applications with a more affordable budget.
Greater Functionality with PCIe Expansion
The TS-x73 series comes equipped with two PCIe Gen 3 x 4 slots, so that you can increase the functionality of your NAS with the addition of 10GbE, M.2 SSDs, a wireless network card, or even an entry-level graphics card.
Unleash the Power of Your NAS with Graphics Card Expansion
With the addition of a supported graphics card, your TS-x73 series NAS is enhanced to handle 4K transcoding and enables smoother video editing workflows for those connecting via a 10GbE expansion.
Utilize the full Potential of your PCIe slot with M.2 SSDs and Qtier. Qtier moves the most frequently used data to your higher performance SSDs on a schedule to give an efficient Hybrid HDD/SSD solution.
Use Your NAS as a Wireless Base Station
With the PCIe slot on the NAS and QNAP's Wireless AP Station app, you can turn your NAS into a wireless base station to expand the range of your WiFi signal and save bandwidth by connecting directly to the NAS rather than going through the router.
SSD Caching and 10GbE Connectivity
The TS-x73 series supports the innovative QM2 PCIe card that allows for adding up to two M.2 SSDs. You can configure SSD caching, or create a RAID 5 tiered storage along with the two M.2 SSDs in the NAS*. As these M.2 SSDs will not occupy any 3.5-inch drive bays, the QM2 card allows you to maximize both your storage capacity and performance. There are also QM2 cards that include 10GbE 10GBASE-T connectivity to provide SSD caching with high-speed network connectivity on a single card.
*Note: M.2 SSDs for NAS and QM2 cards are sold separately.
