Tried several old disks on it, both 3.5" sata and IDE. Sata drives connected worked, however the IDE drives (two) didn't, but I suspect that was because they were so old and had been sitting around for a good ten or so years.
Adapter worked as Intended .. had an old IDE HDD that i needed to get some stuff off .. Simple to use.
Worked as described to connect hard drives to it. I can recommend this product, it comes with power connectors and all that you need.
Used this adapter to connect a SATA internal Blu-ray burner to the USB port of my PC. Worked great

This appears to be an excellent device to make use of or to recover data from mass storage devices that utilise IDE or SATA interfaces. The kit includes a 12V 2A DC power supply and Molex 4-pin power cable so that mechanical Hard Disk Drives can be adequately powered. The kit also includes a standard USB-A cable for connection to a host computer. Nothing more is needed!!
This product does exactly what is stated, in a well designed, simple and efficient form
Worked great and as intended. Works on Windows 11 no software required. Tested all ports (IDE 2,5, 3.5 and sata) no disconnections it simply functioned as it said.
