Upgraded from an NVIDIA 2070 Super, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. For $750ish in 2024, getting a solid mid-range GPU like this—especially from a reliable brand like ASUS TUF—was a great deal. I use it for both gaming and daily tasks, and it handles everything I play at high settings in 2K without any issues, including Black Myth: Wukong and Monster Hunter Wilds. Temps stay under control too, rarely going over 85°C. Even now in 2025, with the new 50 series and 9070 XT out, I’d still recommend this card to anyone on a budget. Prices have gone up a bit but it’s still a fantastic option.

Bought this for better Linux compatibility compared to my old 2070 Super, runs everything I throw at it with no complaints at 1440p 120+fps, some reviews here mention coil whine? I don’t really know what they’re talking about, I’ve heard none even when running more intense games.

Great GPU, feels very heavy. Like the magnetic support brace, nice addition. Have noticed some coil whine when playing FPS games, and the RGB is particularly tricky to change (yet to figure it out). Runs at pretty good temps at full load, around 65C.

This 7800xt runs super cool and super quiet . Is an amazing upgrade .

In the short time I've used it, had no issues and high fps.

Great card but coil whines bad above 120fps Runs cool temps even the sapphire ones are ok. Overall decent budget 1440p card

I needed an upgrade for the old RX 5700 XT and this RX 7800 XT filled the gap nicely. Ordered online on a Saturday morning and it was ready for collection in under an hour - awesome service as always.

Pros:Looks awesome, quiet and powerful

Cons:It's huge!
