I bought this router mainly for the security features and parental controls.

While these were good with the built AV and BitDefender subscription. The associated Disney Circle service was discontinued and never really worked that well.

I ended up having to turn off most of the features such as Dynamic QoS, MU-MIMO and Smart Connect off as it was just too unreliable with frequent dropouts.

Firmware web interface is very clunky and dated, while the app is very limited in features.

Probably wouldn't buy another Netgear device as the Arlo security cameras have been average too.

Pros:Inbuilt AV scanning with BitDefender

Cons:MU-MIMO doesn't work, Smart Connect doesn't work, Dynamic QoS doesn't work, Disney Circle disconntinued, Firmware web interface

OMG!!!!... this thing rocks, so, so, soooooo much better than my ISP supplied gear, thought y internet was slow and dropout but now I know it was just the ISP supplied router. In a nut shell... Coverage is HUGE! Speed is HUGE! yeah Router is HUGE ( but hey! I can live with that for HUGE difference in performance) I just wall mounted to free up desk space.

Happy as JAN!

Pros:SPeed, Coverage, Handles heaps of devices with ease, very easy setup

Cons:None, no regrets whats so ever, even the price is still worth it!
