does exactly what i want it to do, the dock is connected via usb to my tertiary desktop that doesn't have a wifi card which works nicely in an area that doesnt get a clean signal otherwise. i can then just unplug the usb antenna from the dock and use it directly in my laptop (laptops inbuilt wifi is sketchy and slow) which boosts the wifi of the laptop to consistent workable levels. one device serving a double purpose nicely (never in use at the same time)
