The Synology DS223j NAS is easy to install the HDDs. The instructions supplied for setup are a bit too basic for me. I had a little trouble initially setting up the partition. It may have been because I had not done this before, but I eventually worked it out. The DS223j is also a little slow, but this was indicated in other reviews. Overall, for the price, the DS223j is good value and to date has been running very reliably (two weeks of ownership).
Friend staff. Quick pickup. Online order was a breeze. Unit was exactly what i need (on sale at my pricepoint) for a home / small office setup with options to expand slowly over time. Recommend checking out reviews and caveats of a two-bay nas (and read up on nas pro/cons in general). And if you choose to pick a synology, and worth making sure anything you want to do beyond storage/and backup is actually available on this budget lowend nas (surprisingly many). Also note that nothing on the wctual nas (ram/cpu/networking) is upgradable (again budget). If you're cool with that then i give it 4/5 stars.
