1. Products Stock and Compatibility
Does Umart stock this brand or model?
Search the Umart website using the brand, product name or model number. If you cannot find it, contact Customer Service to ask whether it is available or can be ordered.
How can I check if a product is in stock?
Select your preferred store and check the product page. Availability varies by location and can change before an order is allocated. Your order is not ready for collection until Umart sends a ready-for-collection notification.
What do the different stock statuses mean?
The product page shows the current stock status for your selected location and, where applicable, an estimated collection or arrival time. Supplier and transfer estimates may change.
When will an out-of-stock product be available?
Check the product page for an estimated arrival date or contact Customer Service. Supplier estimates may change and an exact restock date may not be available.
How can I check whether two components are compatible?
We recommend checking component compatibility before placing your order. Our team is always happy to help if you’re unsure whether your selected components will work together. Umart staff can provide general product information and may assist if you give them complete and accurate details of your system and intended use.
Can Umart help me choose the right product or components?
Yes. Visit a store or contact Customer Service for general product information. For a Custom PC, contact the Custom PC team at pcorder@umart.com.au for assistance selecting components. Advice depends on the information you provide, so please give complete and accurate details of your existing system and intended use.
2. Stores and Click and Collect
Where are Umart stores located and what are their opening hours?
Use the Store Locations and Opening Hours page to find store addresses, directions and opening hours. Hours vary by location and may change on weekends and public holidays.
When can I collect my Click and Collect order?
Wait until Umart sends you a notification confirming that your order is ready for collection. An order confirmation does not mean the order is ready. You can also check your account’s order history for updates.
How can I check if a product is in stock at my local store?
Select your local store on the website before viewing the product. Check that the correct collection location is selected when placing your order.
Can someone else collect my Click and Collect order?
An authorised representative may be able to collect your order. Contact Umart before collection to confirm the identification, order and authorisation information required. Additional controls may apply depending on the order value and payment method.
3. Orders
How do I make a purchase?
Find the products you want, select your preferred store, add the items to your cart and complete checkout. Choose delivery or Click and Collect and check your details before submitting the order.
What happens after I place my order?
You can follow the order through your account’s order history. Umart will notify you when a Click and Collect order is ready or when a delivery order has been dispatched. Tracking details are provided where applicable.
Can I cancel my order?
Contact Customer Service promptly with your order number. Whether an order can be cancelled depends on its status, the products or services ordered and the applicable terms. If the order has already been dispatched, an eligible return may be required.
Can I modify my order after placing it?
Contact Customer Service promptly with your order number. Whether an order can be changed depends on its status, payment method and the products or services ordered. Cancellation and a new order may be required.
How do I track my order?
Check your account’s order history. After dispatch, use the tracking details sent to you. Check your spam or junk folder if you cannot find the email.
Why has my order not been processed yet?
Check your email, including your spam or junk folder, for updates or requests for information. Processing can be affected by stock allocation, payment checks, transfers, public holidays and peak periods. Contact Customer Service with your order number if you need an update.
4. Shipping and Delivery
When will my order be dispatched?
The estimated dispatch time shown during ordering depends on stock availability, order processing and the selected delivery service. Public holidays, payment or verification checks, stock transfers and peak periods may cause delays. Tracking is normally provided after dispatch.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time depends on the destination, carrier and shipping service selected. Any transit estimate is additional to order processing and dispatch time. The available service and current estimate are shown during checkout where possible.
How much does shipping cost?
Add the items to your cart, enter your postcode in the Estimated Freight Calculator and select Get Estimate. Review the shipping charge before completing checkout.
What delivery options are available?
The delivery services available depend on the order and delivery address. Check the options shown during checkout.
Why hasn’t my order arrived or why is my delivery delayed?
Check the carrier tracking first. Public holidays, peak periods, weather, remote transport schedules and delayed tracking scans can affect delivery. Contact Umart with your order and tracking numbers if you need assistance.
Can I arrange my own courier to collect my order?
Yes, subject to Umart’s collection requirements. Contact Umart before booking the courier to confirm that the order is ready and what identification and order details the driver must provide. When a courier or other third party arranged by you collects the goods, responsibility and risk transfer in accordance with Umart’s Terms and Conditions. Consider arranging suitable transit insurance.
5. Custom PCs and PC Building
How long does a Custom PC take to build and receive?
Build time begins after payment and order review. Allow additional time for delivery, store transfer, stock availability or resolving compatibility issues. Umart will notify you when the PC is ready for collection or has been dispatched.
How does the Custom PC building process work?
Use the PC Configurator, or add the applicable build service and selected components to your cart. After payment, the build team reviews the order, assembles the PC and performs testing before collection or dispatch.
Can I choose or change the components in my Custom PC?
You can choose from the available components when ordering. Changes after an order is placed depend on the service used, the order’s status and whether the build has started. Contact Umart promptly; any approved change may affect the price and completion time.
What warranty is included with a Custom PC?
Custom PC builds include a two-year labour warranty. Component warranty periods vary by product and manufacturer. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law also apply and are not limited by a manufacturer’s warranty.
6. Payment Pricing and Invoices
What payment options does Umart offer?
Available payment methods are shown at checkout or at the store. Options may vary by order type, sales channel and location. Any applicable surcharge will be disclosed before payment is completed. Cash is not accepted in store.
Does Umart offer price matching?
You can request a price match for an eligible in-stock product offered by an eligible Australian retailer. Exclusions and conditions apply, and approval is not guaranteed. Check the current Price Match Policy before submitting a request.
How can I get my tax invoice?
A digital tax invoice is sent to the email address registered to your account. You can also log in, open Completed Orders and download the invoice.
7. Warranty Returns and Technical Support
What is Umart’s warranty policy?
New products include at least a one-year return-to-base warranty, with longer manufacturer warranty periods applying to some products. Umart also provides remedies required by the Australian Consumer Law. Where necessary, the product must be assessed to establish the fault and determine the appropriate remedy. The available remedy depends on the circumstances and is not automatically a refund, replacement or repair solely because a fault is reported.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact Umart with proof of purchase, the product details and a clear description of the fault. The team may perform basic troubleshooting or intake checks. Where a technical assessment is required, the product may be sent to an Umart distribution centre, the manufacturer or an authorised repairer before the appropriate remedy is determined.
How do I return a faulty product?
Contact Umart for return instructions. An Umart store may accept the product as an intake point, but the store may not perform the technical assessment. Bring proof of purchase and all information requested for the claim. Delivered or large-item returns may require separate freight arrangements.
What is Umart’s change-of-mind returns policy?
Eligible products may be accepted within 30 days under Umart’s discretionary change-of-mind policy, subject to the current Returns Policy. Products generally must remain factory sealed, and exclusions apply. Change-of-mind restrictions do not limit rights or remedies for faulty products under the Australian Consumer Law. If Umart specifically provided incorrect suitability advice before the sale, contact Customer Service so the circumstances can be reviewed separately rather than treating the matter as an ordinary change-of-mind request.
Can Umart update the BIOS on my motherboard?
Umart may offer a motherboard BIOS update service. Contact your local store or Customer Service to confirm eligibility, turnaround time, any applicable fee and how the service affects change-of-mind eligibility before submitting the product.
Does Umart provide PC repair and upgrade services?
Umart offers selected PC diagnosis, troubleshooting and upgrade services. Service availability, exclusions, prices and booking requirements may vary. Check the current service page, explore Pick2Fix pickup and delivery options, or contact Umart before bringing in a system.
What should I do if my product isn’t working?
Contact Umart with proof of purchase, the product details and a clear description of the problem. The team can assist with basic troubleshooting and advise whether the product requires technical assessment.
